How Banning Abortion in the Early Weeks of Pregnancy Suddenly Became Mainstream
By Sabrina Tavernise
The reversal is evidence of a fundamental shift in the landscape of abortion in America. The math on the Supreme Court has changed ... states are rushing to make changes. Newly confident red states are passing some of the strictest prohibitions the country has ever seen.
In their sights is overturning Roe v. Wade ... And many in the movement believe that the so-called heartbeat bill — a ban on abortion as early as six weeks of pregnancy, often before a woman even knows she is pregnant — is the way to do it. The bill flies in the face of decades of Supreme Court decisions, like a dare to the American legal system.
The people who want abortion banned might as well declare war on recreational sex.
If the Supreme Court decides to get the feds out of the abortion question by overturning Roe v Wade, then people who feel it's wrong to ban all abortion are going to have to rise up in their states and fight for the right to abortion. Refusing to consider why Ireland repealed its ban on all abortions will only lead to moral disaster. This is because those who want all abortion banned absolutely will not give a damn what can happen to women, who get illegal abortions. They will be cold enough to feel such women deserve as much as death.

I lean towards being Pro Life but there are times when an abortion is necessary and the Government needs to stay out of it.
What really bugs me is how we have so many of our elected taking a stand against abortion but if they were to get an intern pregnant they would be driving her down to the clinic so fast.
Women need to retain the right to get an abortion and the Gov. needs to stay out of it. On the flip side we don't need to have these groups of "progressives" shouting at us about how proud they are that they had an abortion.
They are awakening a sleeping problem by doing so.
Be careful what you wish for conservatives... it is you who will pay for all the unwanted babies that the parents can't pay for... so don't whine when your taxes are raised to support potentially millions of unwanted kids

I am pro choice, but I appreciate your opinion. IMO rape and incest are one of those situations where a woman definitley should be able to get emergency contraception or abortion. I don't believe that aSeven months pregnant person should be able to abort her baby, but the whole thing about personhood at the time of conception freaks me out.

But I think conservatives would simply be cold enough respond by banning welfare and so America's unwanted children would have to start living in the streets as is often the case in countries where all abortion is banned.
