It's really a shame how the word "militia" has now become synonymous with extremist groups. There's scads of these small groups of mental midgets out there calling themselves "militia" and they have no clue what militia really is.

I suppose there is THE Militia (of which I consider myself a part) and then there is "A" militia that constitutes these groups of nut cases. Unfortunately that distinction will probably never again be made Militia will always have most folks picturing clowns like these guys in NM running around and making a nuisance of themselves.

There will likely come a day soon where real militia will be needed when folks have to get together to defend their homes families and communities. Not from some government coup or anything like that but from criminals in the form of gangs. Drug pushing fleabags carrying out reprisal for US government action on the border. It's more than likely.

If things get hairball down there is a good chance we will see things degenerate in our streets. Hope I'm wrong.

It's all fine and well that people may wish to volunteer to help in the capacity of militia but you can't just show up hit the ground with weapons and run around willy nilly. A true and proper militias commanders would have gone to the BP organized and showing the proper respect.

If they plan on actually being in the field the commander would have his people vetted with official documents like proper background checks and service records on them. This is an LE operation after all not a shooting war where it's all hands on deck. He should be prepared to have all his people inspected and their gear and weapons as well. An inventory of all assets like night vision gear, vehicles whatever ready to go.

They should also be ready and willing to act in whatever capacity the BP commanders decide to use them. That may just be in a logistical and material support role not as armed field operators. There's no shame in that. Helping is helping. But these guys just decided they were going to deploy and start detaining people. Unprofessional and disrespectful. And a black eye on the militia as a whole. I resent that as I'm part of the militia at the end of the day.

These independent groups like this NM bunch taint the gene pool. There's a LOT more to acting as militia than throwing on some digicamms grabbing your weapon having some goofy patch on your arm and running around in the desert. Especially if you plan on augmenting an LE operation.

I'm with ya on this. I have strong feelings on the subject.
I am obviously against militias but I agree with most of your points and respect your opinion.

We all know, Militia is illegal as the Police State has suppressed the Free State.

Because they are down on the border armed, they come up with this crap.
If they wanted Obama or Hillary dead, Obama & Hillary would be dead.

They robbed the bank. The bank was never robbed.
