If you think you can come to this country and immediately apply for these programs without contribution think again.
Those who leave the country more than one month will forfeit their benefits entirely.
Those who contribute minimally will be affected on percentage basis and those who have
contributed the most into these programs ( the taxpayer ) lastly affected by privatization.
Never bite the hand that feeds. The taxpayer fed the system .The taxpayer gets the last lick.
Hmmm...no. The taxpayer gets screwed especially the middle class.

It is obvious to anyone with a brain that such Ponzi-like schemes must be phased out or they will eat out the country's guts with their voracious appetites for more OPM.

That's simply a fact. Have you read the projections for those programs? If politicians had the balls to say, and more importantly, do something about them in years past we'd be in much better shape now. But they're sacred cows. Watch how fast the AARP comes out against you if you mention any change to SS. So they keep punting the ball, so that they can get reelected, and will let the next generation worry about it after they retire.

Anyone with common sense that's young these days isn't depending on SS to even be around when they retire.

Bankrupting Medicare with “Socialized Medicine?”

Our congressman used that little gem in one of his campaign ads.

Anyone voting for Republicans this is what they have to offer. Dismantling of the middle class and eliminate all benefits for Seniors who worked all of their lives and finally get a few years off in their last years they even have the nerve to call them entitlements. God forbid. No, we need more money for corporate welfare and big business tax breaks. Not to mention a “wall” that Mexico was supposed to pay for. Trump doesn’t deserve another term. We don’t need a corrupt crime family running things any longer. Draining the swamp starts with getting rid of the Liar in Chief.

Mitch McConnell says it out loud: Republicans are gunning for Social Security, Medicare and Obamacare next.

Does anyone still doubt that we need to make as many republican politicians unemployed in 2020 as possible?
If you raise the overtime eligibility level to $47,500 and institute a wealth tax, the money is there.

Don't be a Fox News stooge. Defend middle class benefits.

I've paid SS and taxes all my life. I don't consider getting what i was promised in return for my spending an entitlement. Trump can stiff people and reneg on deals all he wants in his personal business (still shady and unethical), but not with my tax dollars.

My understanding is that SS would be solvent right now, if not raided by politicians over the past decades, presumably from both parties.

Speaking of entitlements: Now was probably not a great time for Trump's wealth redistrubution, and corporate handout that he masqueraded as a tax cut. Permanent cuts for big business, and temporary shuffling around of our own money for citizens, until he is out of office, and the next shuffle reveals the Trump Tax Hike.

in spite of the histrionics of team D the GOP isn't going to eliminate any of it. Too many voters at risk and historically they have upped the spending on every one these ponzi schemes. But its a good rally cry at election time for team D isnt it?
Forget they are all funded at gunpoint for a sec., is it really a good idea to be dependent on politicians and their insolvent govt for retirement security or healthcare? Everything its in charge of is teetering on the brink of economic collapse.
But rejoice citizen, live in the moment! The robbery, wars and welfare will continue unabated right up until the collapse.
