Then Mike Pence would be president now. For Fox would be saying "Barr's got something to hide", Trump's tweeting at night shows he has little discernment for what's actual news and what's fake news, Trump's conduct does not reflect the moral values of his Evangelical base. His trusting of Putin over his own CIA shows that Trump's the Accidental Manchurian Candidate, and so forth.

It's funny but Fox has been calling out the liberal media for years now about their support in the hoax that's been assaulting the POTUS since his election. They are the only ones who have been calling the kettle black and now, to me, even though I'm not a watcher, they hold more credibility for at least telling the truth and being on the right side of the lies.
Do they spin political opinions towards those who want to hear that stuff? You bet, it's called selling advertising slots. But, for the most part they've been right on a lot of the actual factual stuff and that lends to their credibility in a horribly corrupt industry.
CNN has hit rock bottom.
MSNBC has gained CNN's viewers as they've never waived in their leftists views.
Remember when CNN used to report the news? Back in like 1990? Back when journalism was alive and people wanted to hear what's going on in the world.
Now it's all Trump all the time.
The fact that media has brought their feelings/opinions/ideas into news, makes it not news. It becomes opinions and although people will still buy advertising to watch that crap, it's not news.
What if all news agencies covered presidents from the stand point of reporting the news and not their agenda?
AH the good old days when respected newsmen reported the news without bias and without trying to make a career for themselves with the ambush "gotcha" moments.
Let's flip this idea the OP has. What if every news agency except Fox was out to get Obama when he was President? Would he be remembered as fondly today if all we ever heard for 8 years was how terrible he was and how anti American his policies were?
The country wouldn't be as divided as it is today if the media was not hyping and exagerating the negative and burying the positive that is coming out of the WH.

Well, I'll attempt to stay on topic here. I don't think it would have mattered as people only watch the networks which conform to their own biases. People don't like neutral reporting. We hear it all the time when right wingers complain about people like Chris Wallace and Shep Smith being too left and not hard-right authoritarian enough.
You'll have to include FOX NEWS in with that statement.
Agreed except for the fact that they've uncovered one of the greatest hoaxes of the 2000s and beyond. That does give them a small level of journalistic integrity.
While most of their programming is biased and opinions, which I don't consider journalism, they got it right on this one... Exposing the liberal media as accomplices in the attempted coup of a sitting president.
The "media" involved touted themselves as media, the rest of us just consider them "windbags".
Unbiased media is a thing of the past. That goes for all mass media, not just FOX News. I think most Americans would find unbiased, truthful media to be bland and boring. They probably wouldn't watch.
The country wouldn't be as divided as it is today if the right wing wasn't hyping and exagerating the negative and burying the positive that is coming out of the WH during the obama years

.
The liar in chief deserves it. Biggest liar in the WH in generations, rivaled only by lying Sarah Sanders. The media is the only thing keeping him accountable to his lies and treason, which is why he hates them so much.
Pretty much par for the course for any thuggish dictator wannabe
