Of course not. Government loves to make promises they cannot keep. There are always some gullible fools who will fall for such empty promises, but I am not one of them.
IF they really are "natural rights", WHY is the Bill of Rights even necessary?

THAT is why we need a Bill of Rights. People are the only ones willing to take away another person' rights. People wish to come here because it is one of the few places that respect God-given rights with the added welfare bonus. Freedom and a check.
They should have the same rights everywhere on the planet. They shouldn't have to invade this country to be free. BTW, this country is becoming less free over the last 25 years.

That's the way it is suppose to be. Problem is the government has been usurping rights for supposed "security" for almost 20 years. 9/11 was the start of our rights being screwed. NDAA and Patriot act were the building blocks of stealing freedom.

It's not necessary, first of all. Second, the purpose is to outline what people should be allowed to do simply for existing (or you could also say, things no one - including the state - should do to others/deny them from doing).
Similar to how slavery is considered wrong, even though the government said it was legal. People have certain rights no matter what rights others "decide" they have.
If your government promised you free stuff and to take full care of you, would you give up all the natural rights outlined in the Bill of Rights, that the government was formed to secure?
I'd have to suspend reality and accept the premise that government promises in any way, shape or form are to be believed.

Hell no.
