I'm glad our senior military leaders disagree.
Our drone strike collateral damage percentage in Afghanistan etc. is around 95%. That means that when we drop a pair of 500lb bombs into Mullah Abdullahs compound for siding with the Taliban....well we get him...his top guys...his warriors...their wives, children, maybe a couple traders etc. etc.

This has been going on for 15 years now.

That's not even including any black ops, but I digress.

Good on Trump !!!

Hopefully he will continue to review similar cases and grant pardons.

Good. This was the bomb maker that was chunking concrete blocks at him. I never felt comfortable with the verdict, not at all. This was also around the same time that the UK soldiers got accused of a murder or murders. Thank goodness they walked.

Hmmmm, I wonder if we can identify one single way that the discussion at hand is different than a drone strike on a known terrorist target.

Maybe CD experts can teach us a thing or two about how to identify a bomb maker, or how to prove one is a bomb maker.

Well then please post specific examples, I've never seen any.

I responded to the language of your post talking about the killing of civilians.

If you meant something else then qualify it.

We clearly know that when we target a compound, or fire bomb a city or spray napalm or agent orange that we're killing civilians and it is accepted.

Gee chuck, I'm missing the smut here, please explain your comment as being anything other than a baseless whine about "the lefties".

We hold our American soldiers to a higher standard of conduct than to take the law into their own hands and execute people who are not even armed, and who was being released because there was no evidence he had any involvement in any crime.
A civilian is just a terrorist who ran out of ammo.
