Fox News was named after a Hungarian Jewish immigrant named William Fox (1/1/1879-5/8/1952) who was a Republican and a socialist when he was young (between 12-15). A few years after losing control of his film company (11/1929), he fraudulently filed for bankruptcy and bribed a judge named John Warrin Davis (sometime in 1936). Oh, and Fox even served a 5-month jail sentence for bribing the judge (early 1943).**

Krefft, Vanda. "The Man Who Made the Movies: The Meteoric Rise and Tragic Fall of William Fox": HarperCollins, 2017.*
*It was released a few days after Thanksgiving 2017. Counting the book index and works cited sections, it is over 925 pages. I just have not committed to going past page 75. Page 29 makes a brief mention of Fox's socialist views. Vanda is also an FB lady friend of mine.
**An 8/10/2016 Chicago Tribune article called "10 things you might not know about Fox News", written by a reporter named, Mark Jacob brings up how the network's namesake, William Fox, was an immigrant who later bribed a federal judge and served some jail time.
Three pages in and only one person has actually referenced the statement itself, garnering zero replies. The rest of you immediately went to the land of make believe.
This is the problem with politics. Lots of talking, but no reading, no attempts at actual nuanced understanding or comprehension. Just a bunch juvenile blaming and transference.
I mostly agree with you, especially the understanding of why in politics you get these sorts of attacks over anything that can be clipped and snipped or was worded poorly.
That said I have 2 comments:
1) There are long standing hate group memes abouts jews and money. Going anywhere near that is like how it's ok to make fun of Bush for kinda looking like a monkey in some pictures but to do the same to Obama is a whole other ball game. There is a reason that got her in hot water from both sides of the aisle.
2) Were you were making a joke or trying for maximum irony, when mentioning "fine people" after pointing out how things get turned into political attacks, mentioning context etc.
1 - Yes, i get why the criticism was there. I completely get it. I know the memes but i don't see how you can criticize AIPAC without criticizing the money that is being paid. It's the same for any lobby group.
2 - i was just pointing out that she wasn't justifying or backing up what happened. it wasn't even the point of her speech.
I'll be bookmarking this for the next time you pompously prance in on on your high horse, lecturing people on stereotyping and broadbrushing their political opponents.

Oh, don't you fancy yourself the clever little wordsmith, now?
Only way to answer that question is "no".

And this "none of you are capable of thinking for yourselves" crap? Seems to me that anytime a Jew, or a non-Jew who recognizes anti-semitism and pushes back against it, criticizes anti-Semitism, the little voice in your head says "sit up and accuse them of barking 'anti-Semite' "before you even ask yourself if antisemitism IS indeed playing a role.
You liberals are such hypocrites. Race to the defense of anti-Semitic Muslims like Omar, while telling Jews, in so many words, to shut up when antisemites are elected to Congress. you act as though you're opposed to bigotry, and then reveal your own hostility toward Jews.
And still another one who's been programmed to conflate criticism of a nation with anti-semitism. I wish we had a bet going; I'd be up 20 bucks by now.

I don't know and I don't care, because it's completely irrelevant to this discussion. Go strawman someone else.
Omar IS anti-Semitic because of all the issues, even facing the Islamic world, she's obsessed with Palestinians. She herself is Somali and her country has so many issues with jihadism, terrorism and piracy and female genital mutilation and sexism and hompphobia, yet she seems to talk more about the Palestinians than about her own people in Somalia.
I also know Pakistani Muslims who are more obsessed about hating Israel than their own country's enemy India.
Amazing how even though most of the national media is Jewish-owned, they refuse to cover this or print anything that makes any Democrat look bad. This was ONLY covered by Fox News.
What else is not Jewish-owned?
Finance?
Big Business?
Hollywood and Entertainment Industry?
Health Care Industry?
Insurance Industry?
Petroleum Industry?
Politicians?
...she knows better
She just thinks she's being really clever.....and coming across as a cocky smartass
