It is amazing the folks who post here continually about such matters and presumably have some interest in the issue are so poorly informed.

It's almost as if they get their news from an alternative reality.
It's just disingenuous trolling. First they ask for links. Then when someone posts links, to WaPo, or NYT, they'll scream "FAKE NEWZZ!".

According to the article there is the Horowitz IG investigation, the DA from Utah and now this DA, expending a lot of resources that could be better spent on organized crime. He should have waited for the conclusion of the IG investigation next month and then made a decision.

I think we all know how this all began but if there is some wrong doing that is normally done through the IG as was the case previously.

The IG Report is not finalized. It's not a 'criminal' investigation. It can refer for criminal actions, as well as other violations, recommendations for operational improvements, etc.

The DA from Utah was assigned by Sessions under Duress. Trump had no confidence in Sessions anyways. Reportedly, nothing really has been done/no witnesses contacted, and since Sessions is not there anymore, he really has no boss to report to. Sessions was also recused from anything Russia so couldn't really provide guidance or go out of his way for anything.

Barr sees and knows what's up so he'll be working more closely in assigning resources, suggestions areas to dig deeper, approve Grand Juries, etc. Unlike Huber, the new guy, John H. Durham actually has a LONG bi-partisan track record of investigating and tackling corruption FBI and other law enforcement institutional Corruption. His investigation won't also be hampered by the Mueller Investigation since it is done now, as Huber's might have been.

So it is 'different'.

Now, my prediction is, after the IG Report comes out, it will lead to a Special Counsel likely, especially given the pushback from Wray and existing FBI leadership. So they'll need a separate arm to join forces with the IG Report team to get around it.

It will be more money wasted and nobody will get indicted. This is all to appease Trump and to distract from the mess he is and has created.

Maybe, but these are existing payroll people so far. Huber likely did not get any budget for his tasks. Kind of like the old VP asking you to come up with a product idea but with no support.

And unlike before, there are actual criminal leads vs Meuller just pulling on every loose string. He also hired alot of highly paid outside people too.

The IG inspection is already an existing risk control measure, that wouldn't have cost much more money since they do this task anyways. Like getting an audit (i.e. Audit Services). Just they will look at different aspects of the organization known as a targeted area of interest. When it starts to look like there's 'more, than more resources may be assigned. Also, 2 tangible outcomes have occurred under his previous investigation.. firing of Strzock and McCabe.

So to say money will be or has been 'wasted' is not as accurate in this case.

Today is the vote. Do the Dems have enough votes to hold A.G. Barr in contempt of congress ?

AG Barr should receive a prize not a punishment.

This is very unusual. a president should not be directing DOJ investigations, this also ignores the past two years spent by the house investigating the DOJ.

The president and his campaign sought to benefit from Russian interference. They knew what they were doing was wrong because they lied about it over and over again. There were over 200 contacts between the Russians and his campaign. There were numerous indictments and guilty pleas. Numerous investigations spin-off by Mueller. Oligarchs in contact with Jr, Manafort, and Kushner multiple times. The investigators investigating the investigators is just another attempt for the president and Barr to move closer to their radical agenda of deflecting and distracting especially when there are two other investigations set to wrap up soon. The FBI would have been crazy NOT to open an investigation given all the Russian contacts, meetings, lies, etc. Barr is continuing his partisan hack as if his misleading summary, 19-page audition memo, "spying" talking points, spin press conference before the report, contempt citing isn't enough to see exactly why he needs to go. Barr is the president's personal conspiracy attorney.
