In this case it's a broad based negative generalization against 166,400,000 people. Can't believe anyone would believe that.

This isn’t a coherent point. Even if your first assertion is true that the US is “heads and tails” above everyone else, which I find very questionable particularly in the present dark ages, why does that somehow justify or excuse complacency and/or denialism about the issue?

Logic. It’s your friend. Don’t be scared of it.

It certainly appears that the more statist/authoritarian one leans (regardless of team), the higher the rate of forcing individuals to sacrifice their freedom for the "common good".

The "common good" in this thread is saving the planet...whatever that means.

What if they were right? And 10 yrs from now we’re in a sh**ier world because of it and leaders who denied it admitted they were wrong?
What would you say/think then?

We are all going to die from climate change.

It’s going to happen any day now.

Yup, any day.

We should hop on our fuel guzzling private jets with our rock star friends and fly to Paris to talk about it. We can give Communist China big breaks in CO emissions and give the 3rd world our money while we commit economic suicide

Famous last words, not before death because humanity will keep going. But famous last words before we realize “we really done broke this planet”..

Honestly don’t see any good change happening. Human’s only change when something is immediate. Our nature doesn’t allow us to think long term, especially when it comes to thinking of future generations. Our kids and their kids will pay.

Its all of our fault. Even liberals have blood on their hands..
