Nothing has changed. Christians embrace those they like and judge those they hate! Pence is a wolf in sheep clothing!

Quote:
WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump began a recent National Day of Prayer event recognizing the “big, big help” he’s received from his vice president.

Although not specified, that help has included Mike Pence's full-throated defense of Trump's faith credentials as a liaison to Christian conservatives – a bedrock constituency for the Republican president.
But in an overheard private exchange, Pence's longtime friend Ralph Reed, chairman of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, offered the vice president words of reassurance that hinted at the tougher political climate he has faced lately.

So where is Pence's concern for Trumps attack on Muslims, it appears that should be Pence's focus.
Attempts to paint Trump as a good Christian is a losing battle, I'm surprised he didn't get hit by a lightning bolt.

I also believe that this focus on the Evangelical base in the Republican party scares off the moderates/Independents/swing voters.

They don't want too much religion in Washington DC. They want a little but let's not go full on Evangelical.

I also think all the states implementing these anti-abortion laws may scare the more moderate voters who don't have a strong fight in the abortion issue but struggle with govt. dictating lifestyle.

I've always believe that the Republican national mandate has avoided making abortion, religion, LGBTQ issues a main focus because of the hesitancy of folks to want govt. dictating morality.

I could be wrong. But my thinking came early in my life in the USA and talking politics to Republicans/Democrats. My very good friends that were Republican suggested the big issues for them were smaller govt.....that the abortion issue wasn't a concern because that was never going to change (Roe vs. Wade) and that they don't think anybody would ever bother with the LGBTQ issues....who cares -- let people live.

And that's not at all what is happening right now.

None of this is based on anything but my feelings -- so I could be totally wrong...lol....
