And this differs from other corporate taxes in what way? I'm impressed to see that even anti-Trumpers think that taxes are bad these days.

Of course if tariffs continue long term, manufacturing will move to countries that are not facing tariffs.
Watching the actual interview, Kudlow admitted that the tariffs will be paid, not by China, but by American businesses and consumers. He changed his tune to say that both sides will suffer; not both sides will pay.

Nope. Itll just make it cheaper to manufacture somewhere else. FYI, there are more than two countries to manufacture in.

Vietnam will probably a be bigger beneficiary than the US, but us consumers will ultimately pay the higher price for all kinds of goods that directly or are indirectly involve China in the manufacturing chain.

Corp taxes don't target input materials used by manufacturers. And many small businesses file under the individual code.

I swear the same ignorant people that vote trump could easily vote Bernie lol

This is true so for those who support Tariffs, what exactly is the point? This isnt going to cause a business to move back onshore. It's not going to cause American businesses to be more competitive. It's simply going to move the pieces.

You want to make a difference? Enact a 90% tax on profits made off shore. Chinese companies will still have an advantage in one area but that is the "free market", no?

You will never convince me that we can't make a plastic woman's shoe profitably here for $40. Some might even go along with corporate tax breaks for manufacturing here as opposed to sending it off to China.

China clearly does not care enough, because they didn’t make a deal with the Scrooge’s of the orange con man. I wouldn’t make a deal with the orange idiot either.

China is at best the worst possible trading partner anyone can be stuck with and at worst they do their best to destroy everyone elses manufacturing capability. Chinese make junk. They own the stereotype which is very true.

Even here in Asia everyone believes that the Chinese made products are garbage. Made in Japan stores are everywhere in the country I live in.
Except there are no manufacturers ‘Here’ to take over. Those buck tooth West Virginians with 4th grade education level trump supporters are not adequate......
