I see. Maybe Trump and the GOP will finally show some interest in beefing up, securing and modernizing our election systems against cyberattacks?

That is throw more money at the educational establishment so that they can turn average IQ citizens into semiconductor physicists, protein chemists, mechanical engineers and personal injury lawyers. Right.

I'd like to see how many people can venture out into the middle of a raging river to build forms for bridge piers? That's what infrastructure is.

"There is no serious person out there who would suggest that you could even rig America's elections, in part because they are so decentralized. There is no evidence that that has happened in the past, or that there are instances that that could happen this time," the president said to the future president in October 2016.

Which is why Obama never did anything to stop cyber attacks on our election process in his eight years, except to tell Putin to "cut it out."

I ridicule these proposals as "free" because the nitwits proposing all of this free stuff have no plan, or care for how we will pay for it.

Trump is borrowing money to create a mountain of unsold soybeans. It has no long term value, it is ultimately waste.

What good is it to get an education, if when you use it to invest in a private enterprise, hire employees, develop a new exciting, innovative product or solution, or create a record album, or produce a movie, if China steals it from you and your employees, and sells it for pennies on the dollar???

No. The money for Medicare, college, and infrastructure was stuffed down a rathole to the tune of ~$13 TRILLION in trade deficit with China. Uncounted billions more was lost in welfare and food stamps assisting those whose jobs were also outsourced. Instead China got all the money that could have been for these things, but heaven forbid if your Chinese junk costs 25% more and had made in USA options/competition!

Yes, the left has been great about "borrowing money" for handouts while never addressing the root of the problem.

The thing is China didn't set up this one way door for our money, neither did the corporations. Our government did. Decades of administration from BOTH parties have sat idly by while our country bled out this money and Trump is the only one that has stepped up to do something about it.

Elliott_CA, did you know that a few years back a power generation project my company was working on in California came to a halt for about 18 months because a Chinese backed company was trying to do a hostile takeover(bought majority of it's stock) of all this companies power plants? Thank goodness a federal judge blocked the "sale" under concerns of national security. We all the know the Chinese would never pull another Enron stunt

This could be your bank, your water purveyor, even whoever you work for, bought out by the Chinese and you could be made to work far harder for far less or have your job outsourced overseas entirely. Sound good?

Farmers grew soybeans to cater to the Chinese beast we've created, so yes unless some other country steps up to buy them they aren't going to have much value. Good thing is we use the tariff money to bailout the farmers and then in the coming years they can plant something else. Personally I'm tired of beef being $10/#, maybe we can stop exporting it to China and get some cows eating those soybeans.

The Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election in sweeping and systematic fashion,” Mueller’s team of investigators said in one of their primary conclusions in the 448-page two volume report.

Russia’s influence campaign, the report said, used two primary vehicles — social media messaging and computer hacking of Democrats’ emails — that “favored presidential candidate Donald J. Trump and disparaged presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.”

Trump accepted Russia's help, never criticized the interference, never criticized Putin himself. Whose side is Trump on?
