How many times did we hear from Trump supporters that paying for green jobs was socialism? Funny how they don't mind if they are benefitting. $900,000 for each steel job? That is insane.
Are they counting any of the spin off jobs created. Around here I know the tarrifs have created alot of mom and pop furniture jobs that have nothing to do with steel production.

On my farm, I have had the chance to use Chinese steel, which is so brittle, it is like iron. Bridges built in the US with Chinese steel have to be re-built in less than five years. Getting rid of Chinese steel FOREVER is a bonus!

The cost is more than 13 times the typical salary of a steelworker, according to Labor Department data, and it is similar to other economists' estimates that Trump's tariffs on washing machines are costing consumers $815,000 per job created.
