Just speculating here--

In the case of rape, the woman is a victim, and the allowance is given in the interest of not forcing her to incur further trauma, correct?

In the case of incest, there is the concern of potential birth defects, correct? (There is no such allowance for potential birth defects in non-incest cases, though.)

Hypothetical question:

So, if I have a thing for siblings and first cousins, and I just can't keep my legs closed, I can have all of the abortions I want?

Sure. Sounds like a good idea for the gene pool. Trust me, I’ve had students that were a result of such pairings, it tends not to be a pretty picture.

Much of the time, incest is rape.

It's odd how they always separate it, don't you think?

It's odd how those "babies" have less value than other "babies." Most forced-birthers shed no tears for them.

It is strange. I can understand incest (due to the high probability of abnormalities), but with rape? Thats a normal fetus between 2 people that are NOT related, plus there is a HUGE demand to adopt newborns.

I dont understand why they do not promote adoption in the case of rape?

Something else to keep in mind, even though it was rape, that fetus is still HALF hers ( I dont think many people take this into account).

The fact that they consistently provide exceptions for rape victims belies their pretend concern with the fetus. If it was truly about "protecting life" as they claim, they would fight equally hard for those babies because they are innocent in how they were conceived. But they don't. They happily abandon them. So tell me again how they are pro-life when their concern is conditional?

And half a monster's. I don't think you have taken that into account.

Thats not really surprising, people that have been born (that were the product of a rape) usually have a hard life, they are constantly reminded of how they were conceived.

There are already 400,000 children waiting to be adopted and many will not be.

Anyone who is pro-life because they are concerned about preserving innocent life cannot, I submit, support abortion even in the case of rape, etc. Not if they are being intellectually honest. After all, although rape is disgraceful (and I fully support the death penalty for rapists), any resulting children are innocent and blameless.
