1. Bless this man for his living the American dream, for sharing his good fortune with those who are just beginning their professional lives, and for being a role model to people of all races in this nation. Good for him.
2. Best of luck to the 2019 Graduating Class. You have your entire lives in front of you and (contrary to the naysayers) every opportunity in the world available to you, in this greatest of nations. Go live good lives, do good things, work hard, grab a hold of your dreams and don't let go. And don't let ANYONE tell you that you cannot succeed.
3. We can ALL use this man as a role model. Question - is a man who is a billionaire and gives away millions, any more of a good man than someone who makes minimum wage and gives away his last dollar to a homeless person?
White people are more than welcome to apply for and attend Morehouse
Under disparate impact you don't need to show unequal treatment, just unequal results.
I don't agree with disparate impact but it's often used as a substitute for any real proof these days and is used to shake down companies and whatnot.
As such, even though whites can apply to Morehouse, the lack of whites at Morehouse using disparate impact is discriminatory and requires remediation.
<<<<My entire point here is to highlight how ridiculous the use of disparate impact is and your conversation was a perfect example of you making a solidly logical case that absolutely would not matter if we were instead talking about the number of say, black engineers at IBM.>>>>>

While you're waiting, educate yourself about socialism.
Hint: What it's not:Private individuals or entities feeding, clothing--or paying the bills of--citizens.
You're welcome.
I think his point was that many of hte right-wingers don't know what socialism is and will accuse this guy of being a socialist for spending his own money on others.
It's kind of like when Twitter bans a Russian bot or a hatemonger and they say "what about the first amendment??"
