ALBANY — Congressional Democrats are one step closer to getting a look at President Trump’s taxes.

Democrats in the state Assembly approved a bill Wednesday authorizing the state Department of Taxation and Finance to share tax return information with Congressional committees as long as there is a “specific and legitimate legislative purpose.”

The Senate passed the measure earlier this month and it now heads to Gov. Cuomo’s desk for his signature. The Democratic governor has indicated he will sign the bill.

Did you just shred the 4th Amendment?

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

Legislative purpose is not a probable cause!

I've always been concerned with foreigners entering this country and not understanding our laws (like the poster above).

Obviously, the 4th amendment does not apply here.

Trump REALLY does NOT want us to see his tax returns.
It will be interesting to see what he's hiding, although it won't be a surprise. He probably hasn't made any money or paid any taxes for decades.
He'a a total fraud.

Oh, how convenient for the Trump sponsored Russian money laundering bank.
Deutsche Bank Finds Flaw in System That Tracks Suspicious Activity
Bank says program for spotting potential money laundering was ‘configured erroneously’

Quote:
Deutsche Bank AG DB -2.39% has found a glitch in computer systems that retroactively scan corporate clients’ transactions for suspicious activity, the latest sign of trouble in the lender’s efforts to guard against potential money laundering by clients.
The glitch, which might have been in place for close to a decade, hampered a program that scans payments involving corporate clients after they pass through the bank so it can flag suspicious patterns to regulators, a person familiar with the matter said.
Regulators rely on such information, gathered from a range of financial companies, to prevent money laundering and terrorism funding through the global banking system.
The Deutsche Bank program in question “was configured erroneously with two out of 121 parameters defined incorrectly,” the bank said. “Deutsche Bank is working on correcting the error as quickly as possible and is in close contact with the regulators.”
Additional scrutiny of the bank’s compliance practices has intensified from U.S. investigators and congressional Democrats. Two congressional committees are probing the bank’s money-laundering controls broadly, along with its ties to President Trump, his campaign and people and entities connected to him. The president’s lawyers have sought to block subpoenas issued to Deutsche Bank as part of the probes into him and his family, citing privacy and legal jurisdiction. Mr. Trump has said the Democratic-led investigations aren’t impartial.

Corporations shouldn't have privacy in this sense!

I can understand not broadcasting a Golden Showers tape or something like that....but this is just regular business. If Trump wanted loans or if he wanted to sell his company, they'd release all their tax returns or the buyer wouldn't even consider it.

What NY is doing reminds me a fishing trip I heard about.
Two guys went and got the bait at the bait store. Then went and fished all day. Caught nothing and went home with nothing but the bait to eat. The worms were far short of satisfying.

The Italians have the perfect word for his character; imbroglione. It means a cheat, a crook, and an imposter.
