Vote with your pocketbooks. Just don't buy GMO's. Look for the non-GMO symbol for the foods that you buy. Also buy organic when they are on sale or their prices are not that much higher than non-organic. For instance, around here regular bananas are .49/lb and organic is .59/lb. Since it is only 10 cents more per pound, organic is the better choice.
Growing crops is made difficult because of weeds that grow alongside them and compete with the crops for nutrients, water and sunlight. This will stifle the crops' growth and vigor. Insect pests also will feed on the crops either killing or stifling them. Then there are plant diseases that can wipe out crops.
In order to fight against these 3 enemies, farmers will use chemicals on the crops. However the chemicals also hurt the crops as well. To solve this problem, scientists began trying to genetically engineer crops in such a way that they will not be affected by the chemicals, hence these crops are called genetically modified organisms (GMO). That means that GMO crops are assuredly sprayed with chemicals. These chemicals kill the unwanted weeds, insect pests and disease organisms but they are also not good for humans either.
Despite what the government or some non-believers say, I personally do not believe that these chemicals are safe. They certainly cannot be good for you. Therefore, I try to buy non-GMO's and organic as much as I can.
People have been eating genetically modified foods for generations, and all that time life expectancy has been increasing, so how can that be explained?

What might be even more devastating to our health is the genetically modified corn and soybeans they throw at us.

An especially frightening side-effect of GM crops is that laboratory tests feeding them to animals (rodents) and livestock have found serious health problems, including crippled immune systems, pre-cancerous cell growth, liver damage, abnormal development of certain body organs, sterility, and premature death.
Yet it is apparently OK for humans to eat such food, since already, without adequate testing, GM corn (and other crops) are consumed by nearly everyone on earth.
Because of these concerns, dozens of other countries either reject GM crops entirely or are very cautiously investigating them. This makes it very difficult for the U.S. to export farm commodities, resulting in millions of dollars of lost sales.
GMO is all bad. One of the many reasons why people are unhealthy these days. However, no one that supports this garbage is going to change their mind about it. The mainstream is pro-GMO and they aren't going to criticize it. Too much money.
Fake meat is next. Mainstream will say it is healthy for you too.

Keep in mind that these food products are digested and reduced to their chemical componants when eaten. There is nothing magical or unique about GMOs that would be harmful to you.
I'll bet you eat fish- most of the fish you eat are genetically modified farm raised fish. Ever eat chicken or turkey?

You are more likely to be killed by organic foods than regular foods. A fact.
