"In the 1980s, Antarctica lost 40 billion tons of ice annually. In the last decade, that number jumped to an average of 252 billion tons per year.
Greenland's ice is melting six times faster now than it was four decades ago; the ice sheet is sloughing off an average of 286 billion tons of ice per year.
Unlike the Arctic, the Antarctic shows neither global warming nor year to year sea ice decline. There is no sign of global warming in this part of the globe. Square kilometers of sea ice in Antarctica has been setting new record highs, and with that there is more ice to melt. We would see the potential for more ice melting, since the surface area of sea ice has increased.

Liberals actually think we can change the climate/weather. Think about that....
think about the power we possess!! We can make it 75-80 degrees every day, around the world, any city, if we throw enough money into the sky. Lol.
Yet liberal, progressives and the DiCaprio's of the world are buying beachfront, coastal property. LOL. What a joke. Of course the liberal media will say the sky is falling, fossil fuel is the devil, and we need more taxes and big government programs to "fix" the problem even though any climate change is most likely out of our control.
Keep being out of touch libs, the majority of people are worried about jobs, the economy, their 401K, house value, kids education, that new Jeep, price of gasoline, where they are going on vacation...….
Like Mike Huckabee's million dollar beach mansion? That old lib?
The one where he is trying to prevent taxpayers from enjoying the public beach near his house?
-Predictions of global cooling in the 70s.
-Predictions of mass starvation in the 1975.
-Predictions of mass extinctions by 1995.
-Predictions of metal depletion by 1990.
-Predictions of running out of oil by 1990.
And so on...
Yep, according to my Liberal upbringing, we should have been under water or a complete desert by 1999
Let me know when Houston, NYC, Seattle, San Fran, Miami and any other city are under water. Why are rich Progressive Democrats buying up coastal property? Why is Martha's Vineyard so popular with Libs? Are conservatives even allowed on Martha's Vineyard? They obviously really don't believe anything will happen.
Most people I know in San Francisco were given houses in those areas from their parents, and a good % of them plan to flip it. Anyone who buys from them is either a fool or hoping to do the same thing.
I mean, just look at how real estate is still in high demand in SF despite the virtually guaranteed major earthquake risk in the next few decades (and the single family homes in particular have mostly NOT been retrofitted to be earthquake safe). And look at New Orleans. Bustling city with lots of people who bought houses...before *and* after Katrina. There are enough people who don't bother considering geological risks to easily sustain a hot real estate market.
I don't get the reference about Martha's Vineyards...do you mean from Martha Stewart?

Rich liberals continue to buy property and reside there despite the threat of supposed catastrophic ice melt that would result in mass flooding of their property.
