No doubt, snowflakes abound in every nook and cranny across America.
By the way, there have been many amazing collaborations between rappers and country stars, most notably in one of my favorite songs, "Over and Over," a collab between Nelly and Tim McGraw.
Forget the horses. Wrangler has some critics on its back.
The jeans apparel company has come under fire for its new partnership with Lil Nas X, the rapper behind the viral country-rap hit "Old Town Road" featuring Billy Ray Cyrus.
With lyrics filled with cowboy imagery ("Cowboy hat from Gucci/ Wrangler on my booty/ Can't nobody tell me nothin'"), a collaboration with Wrangler appeared to be a no-brainer.
"Psst...it’s an instant hit. Introducing the new Wrangler Lil Nas X Collection," the clothing company wrote on Instagram Tuesday, adding in another post, "The song and style that’s got the world’s attention."
But the collection, which features the song's title and catchy lyrics on Wrangler jeans and tees, appears to be attracting the wrong kind of attention. In fact, many fans have threatened to boycott the company in what they deem to be "cultural appropriation."
When a tall, skinny black basketballer buddy of mine needed a new pair, I took him to my Wrangler store. Only Wrangler makes the jeans that would fit him. Me, too. He also bought a Wrangler cowboy shirt while he was there because the shirt fit him, and I'm the only cowboy he's ever known.
I think Wrangler must have a clause in their sales franchise that makes the stores that sell their jeans to be available in all the sizes they make, as I've found they're the only stores I can walk in and expect to find the size that fits me in every one of them.
Good for them! I'm wearing my newest pair of their jeans as I'm writing this.

Always good to build bridges and break down barriers..
As I've said before, cultural appropriation would refer more to someone ripping off a culture they know nothing about and making it into a trend. Like you didn’t grow up with it or at he very least take time to get to know it at a personal level like knowing the history and the people and gaining an appreciation for it.
As for lil' Nas. I don't know much about him. No idea what got him the idea of getting into country. But hopefully he's the catalyst for bringing something new. And hope he has real love for both genres.
Not a country song... lol. And nobody the writer quotes complaining about it even uses the phrase "cultural appropriation".
Whether or not the song is country isn’t the issue. His checks are rolling in regardless.
The point is why are some fans of Wrangler jeans talking about a boycott and talking reckless on Twitter? Why are they mad about? Wrangler jeans are only for country music fans or something?
Not that I’d be caught dead in a pair. Those things look awful and have all the fashion hallmarks of a leisure suit. But I can understand Wrangler wanting to expand their appeal.
But don’t try to pretend as if folks aren’t upset.

LOL! Wrangler is running a scam!
I looked up the Twitter account of @jc_bennett... it is a sockpuppet account that has never tweeted!
