Didn't you just say the existing walls have made a serious dent in illegal entries.....

What is the percentage of illegals that walk across the open border above ground compared to the percentage that come through a tunnel? Don't we all work with percentages when figuring out the cost to benefit ratio of planned projects? I do believe plans include other measures as well like surveillance drones and other digital means.

A wall won't "solve" the disaster the Dems have created with illegals-but it is one tool to help address it. It will help slow the flow and make criminal border incursions more difficult. By doing so the border patrol has a greater chance of controlling those that still do try to cross. The border wall concept is no different that a wall around a prison. You don't get rid of the guards because you have a wall. Nor do you tear down the wall and expect a handful of guards to secure masses of the worst of society. Only a complete moron would think ONLY one tool is the cure for border security.

The real way to address the problem is to actually get tough on those that violate our border laws. Make illegal immigration a federal felony. Stop releasing those awaiting "asylum hearings" into this country. Make E-verify mandatory. Make aiding criminal aliens avoid prosecution a federal felony. Prosecute those that hire illegals. Stop ALL aid to those that can not demonstrate that they are in the nation legally (medical, education, etc).

The way you fix the illegal problem is the same we deal with it at Yellowstone.
Do not give them an incentive to wander into campsites. Do not feed the bears.
We did not erect a wall around Yellowstone, we removed the incentives.

Most of the illegals are single males, and you are not elligible for benefits as a single male in this country.

What you will see is all these single males standing around in the home depot parking waiting for the cheap labor express to pick them up.

Those are who we should be bringing the hammer down on.

WTH are you talking about? I most certainly do know the difference between legal and illegal. With your unfounded statement it seems it is you who has the severe problem differencing between legal and illegal.

Sooo...because they find less than 10 tunnels per year along the ENTIRE border...a wall is evil. Ok got it.

And what's wrong with "cutting legal immigration"? We can't keep allowing 1 million legal immigrants per year into the country. It's just not sustainable forever. How many people will be too many for you? 1 billion? 2 billion? For example, India has over 1 billion people and Bangalore doesn't have enough potable water. Is that the future you want to see for this country?

And it's pure BS that we need illegals to do any jobs. Who do you think did those jobs before we got flooded with illegals? Americans did them and were paid a living wage to do so. Besides, there is an agricultural guest worker program that has no caps on it. Honest farmers who use this visa program have no problems with labor shortages. It's the sleazy farmers who refuse to use the program and instead opt for cheap, exploitable, illegal labor who have problems when crackdowns occur.

Lightbulb Border Patrol agents have discovered at least 230 cross-border tunnels since 1990

Still, that's less than 8 per year.

And the demand for illegal labor is so high among GOP business owners...

...that the illegals come right through the ports of entry in 18 wheelers.

Pubs support the wall because they KNOW they'll still get Juan and Isela at rock bottom prices.

And Trumplings will never figure it out.
