The President that kept the union together is a great place to celebrate the birth and union of the nation !!!

Don't you agree freedom lovers ?

Dems fume over Trump plans to address public from Lincoln Memorial on July 4
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/dem...rial-on-july-4

“HOLD THE DATE!” Trump tweeted. “We will be having one of the biggest gatherings in the history of Washington, D.C., on July 4th. It will be called “A Salute To America” and will be held at the Lincoln Memorial. Major fireworks display, entertainment and an address by your favorite President, me!”
Personally, I would rather see the $92 million cost of that event go directly to help veterans instead.

Why do democrats care where Trump decides to give a July 4th public address? Do they think they own the public square?

Because Trump destroys everything he touches. He takes a joyous celebration and adds tanks and armored personnel carriers at a huge cost. He turns a national holiday into a political rally with prime restricted viewing seats for favored VIP ticket-holders. He contrives to make everything about him and willfully and forever defiles the honored space that we all remember as a once public space.

Temperature in the 90s with high humidity with heat indexes in the 100s on July 4th in D.C. I am sure everyone including the soldiers will be thrilled to stand there.

I live about 5 miles from the Mall. This heat wave we're having here is a mother.

Just stand in the middle of your back yard in the sun for eight hours while watching the event on a TV. Next best thing to being there.
