NASA hasnít accomplished anything since they turned it into politics first.

Covfefe will be tough to beat.

But I won't misunderestimate him.

I don't think that is the hardest issue.

We've already seen astronauts survive zero gravity for over a year on ISS with only minimal health risks.

The hardest issue will be dealing with radiation since Mars lacks a magnetic field and an ozone layer.

Caves, lava tubes or a couple feet of dirt can solve that problem... but prolonged low g's with play hell on their bones.

Then why did he tweet this:

"For all of the money we are spending, NASA should NOT be talking about going to the Moon - We did that 50 years ago," he wrote. "They should be focused on the much bigger things we are doing, including Mars (of which the Moon is a part), Defense and Science!"

The moon is not a part of mars. Maybe in your world but not mine.

Sure, I can read through the lines - but even I could explain that better in a tweet. So it is actually evidence of his 4th grade speaking level more than a mistake about Mars.

Given our debt I'm sure he can come up with more trillions to give to the "right people" for Mars missions.Unfortunately, his arch-enemy Bezos will probably be one of the leaders.

If trump looked into the goings on at NASA back in the 60s and 70s, he would have seen how much they were talking Mars back then! Some believe we have already been there or sent people there at least.
