Warren Buffet has been making a ton of money trainsporting this stuff across the border as fast as those AMERICAN owned refineries can buy it from Canada. The only difference with the pipeline is safer transporting and less transportation costs to those American refineries by pumping it through a pipe.

Naaah, America wouldn't get anything out of this at all ...…. dumbazzes!

That hypocritical POS tom steyer is the reason it's been delayed. Steyer claims to be an environmentalist, yet he made his fortune investing in Asian and Australian coal mines and coal fired power plants.

Quote:
Steyer is the ultimate rent-seeker who depends on government connections to produce subsidies and mandates that make his “green” energy investments profitable. He also is, or was until recently, a major investor in Kinder Morgan, which is building a competitor to the Keystone pipeline.

The simpler explanation is that Tom Steyer, as well as the liberal donors and climate activists allied with him, is getting his way. They were always an influential constituency in the Democratic Party, but became even more so a few months ago when Steyer pledged $50 million of his own money to Democrats in the midterms, to be matched by another $50 million from other donors.
