Saudi Arabia is interesting half the royal family wants to become a US friendly first world more liberal western type country the other(older) half wants to remain an Islamic fundamentalist country. They have good oil and spend a lot of money so we need to kind of keep it cordial with them. I’m still up in the air about them they’re like your sketchy cousin who you need to remain cool with but you keep your distance. Our common enemy in Iran also helps the relationship.
