This fixes the Iraq mess allowing Saudis to absorb Iraq, or Syria to bring stability to the region so their oil operations aren't threatened by extremists. It also neuters Iran so no Bolton fantasy American invasion of Iran.

Nah, all it does is shift the balance of power in the wrong direction, since both Iran and SA are run by extremists.

The smart thing would be to either engage with both of them or neither.

SA is loyal to the West and respects Israel's sovereignty, Iran not so much.

That's a more recent development. At the end of the day, SA is still a muslim country and might very well go against Israel if the wind blows in their favor down the line.

Loyal to the west? What does that mean?

Respects Israelís sovereignty? What does that have to do with anything even if it were true?

I'm skeptical of SA truly respecting Israel's sovereignty. They would first need to officially recognize the country and normalize ties, not just run things through back-channels.

They still don't like Israel at all, they just happen to see Iran as a bigger threat at the moment, kinda like how the West and Soviet Union set aside their differences during WW2 but were at each others throat once the war was over.

I don’t care if they hated Israel. It’s nothing to me as an American regardless.

Not a peep about this on Fox News, BTW.

And lest you forget, the vast majority of the 911 bombers were Saudi.

A bipartisan majority in Congress has voted to halt U.S. support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen but President Donald Trump vetoed the legislation last month.

Ya'll feel comfortable with Trump supporting the Saudis in a war and transferring US military smart-bomb technology to them over the objections from congress?
Obama sold the Saudis $115 billion worth of weaponry in 2016. Trump is selling 8 billion.

This thread is about Trump transferring US Smart Bomb Technology to Saudi Arabia. Did Obama do that? No. Embarrassed?
