It's bad enough that Trump declared a national Emergency so that he could sell $8 billion dollars with of arms to his Saudi buddies without congressional approval. But now he's allowing the transfer of US smart bomb technology to the Saudis so they can make their own. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/nat...s-uae-n1010116

Not a peep about this on Fox News, BTW.

And lest you forget, the vast majority of the 911 bombers were Saudi.

A bipartisan majority in Congress has voted to halt U.S. support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen but President Donald Trump vetoed the legislation last month.

Ya'll feel comfortable with Trump supporting the Saudis in a war and transferring US military smart-bomb technology to them over the objections from congress?

Jared needs bail outs on his real estate loans and Trump needs customers for his hotel in New York, so of course we feel comfortable with it ...

Pppffftt. Who cares? You take a dumb bomb, stick a laser seeker on the tip or a gps unit, some steerable fins and you have a smart bomb. Ridiculously easy to build.

If this were Obama there would be outrage from the right. Instead Trump gives our technology to the biggest funders of terrorist organizations in the world and not a peep from Pubs and Trumpists.

If the technology is sensitive, I would agree.

Unfortunately, many of the congressional commitees that regulate things like this are filled with idiots.

If they didnt buy the stuff from the U.S., they would from Russia though.

There are many countries in the ME that hate America and as far as Saudi Arabia goes at least they tolerate us.

I'd rather give Saudi the capacity to build smart bombs than give Iran the money and the means to build a nuclear bomb.

Which is more likely to use their bomb against us or an ally?

Selling to Saudi keeps them in the friend zone. Denying them would send them to other sources like Russia or China.

The fact that they need US tech to do it is empirical evidence that you are wrong.

Or maybe not, it may be just an efficiency move. The OP article doesnt state it, but this may be giving the Saudi's the plans for JDAM systems, bolt on kits that make dumb bombs into guided.

I do not know if this is beyond the Saudi ability or not. Congress should have a tech commitee that would know I would hope.

Yep, Borak Farrakhan, gets us involved in Yemen in the first place, destroys Libya, tries to do the same in Syria, and Lefist Democrats cry "Trump"
