Thus Stand your Ground Laws.

The State OF Texas and others assume someone attacking you like this means to do you serious bodily harm and Kill you.

Here you would have the right to pull your gun and shoot them DEAD.

Yes that is interesting. Maybe it's because she is a confused leftie and maybe it is because she is fearful of consequences if she provides a non-PC description of the perps. Maybe the police told her don't rock the boat.

Those women should have been allowed to legally be armed to defend themselves from thugs like these. If they knew those women would potentially be armed they wouldn't do stuff like this.

Possibly, or the "Thugs" would have just shot them like they do here. For every hero story, there is tragic story to follow suit. The people of England believe a bloody nose is better than a bullet to the head. Its their choice and judging from the number of murders compared to ours, its working for them.

The potential to get shot in America while doing a crime is a real possibility, yet it does not seem to curb crime. We still have home break-ins in Texas, robberies in Oklahoma, hold up of stores in South Carolina, on and on and on. I am not sold on the idea that guns scare people out of doing crime, just forces the criminals to carry a gun too. Same argument with the death penalty, have yet to hear a serial killer stop killing to avoid the Death Penalty.

Now I firmly believe that if guns are available in your country then your should have one because in a way you are forced too. But if guns are not prevalent then the need to have one for personal use goes way down. Even in America we recognize that home defense is about matching potential threats that exist to your self / home. So in the USA we match gun vs gun, but if lasers were the issue then we would want personal lasers to defend against "bad guy" lasers. Its all relative.

It has nothing to do with guns, and everything to do with the very large number of cities we have and the inner city Black on Black violence. Many "thugs" get shot by good guys and women defending themselves who are saved from this type of violence or worse. It just doesn't get reported very much, as it doesn't fit the Media narrative.

Better than the alternative of being six feet under.

something seems amiss in London, this was a fairly heinous crime; yet all 5 suspects were released on bail in less than 24 hrs...

In pro-carry Texas, hero cases are extremely rare.

I'd bet they are more rare than women protecting themselves with guns.

What allows a 115 pound woman to stop a 225 pound man? A gun.

Not true. They are not reported because most of the time no shots are fired as the perp runs away at the sight of a gun. If there is a reportable incident, the Media often omits the story.
