Republicans all campaign on sticking it to the poor and "freeloaders" (wealthy people who avoid all income tax don't count though), they'll never vote it in!

in order to cover 330 million people with medicare for all (a 75/25 INSURANCE) would cost 3-4 trillion annually

in order to cover 330 million people with a singlepayer 100% coverage would be 5.5-6.5 trillion annually

there are only 150 million tax FILERS, of those only about 80 million are actually federal tax PAYERS

the medicare for all at its LOW NUMBER works out to 37k per tax payer

the singlepayer at its LOW NUMBER works out to 68k per tax payer

we don't have enough taxpayers, and those that we have cant afford that kind of tax bill

We can institute a VAT among other things, and those cost estimates you gave are definitely on the high side

I think you are confusing catastrophic with emergency care, and under my plan everything in that category is 50% after deductible.

Here is the plan summary for the plan I signed up for. I don't see the word "catastrophic" anywhere on that page:

Not surprised at all. The mishmash of private insurance insurance and Medicare and the ACA is a joke. It will take a big effort to make it happen but once in place, Medicare for all would be far more efficient to manage.

If you combine all other 1st world countries that have Govermental Insurance / Medicare for all / Universal Healthcare... that number is close to 2x the size of the US population.

They have cheaper costs.. almost 1/2 the cost.. and basically equal to better care.

But, then if you include the 30-40 millions who have no insurance in the US.. and the tens of millions who under use the healthcare system because of costs... other 1st world countries are providing Healthcare in an laughingly obvious superior way to the US.

Its incredibly ironic that the Far Right is keeping the rest of the country hostage to Insurance and Pharma companies raking in trillions in profits each year.. and preaching about GOD and Freedom.

Yeah.. freedom to die early, so they dont have to pay for cheaper healthcare.

The guy literally assumes single payer would cost 4 times more per person in America than other developed countries. Thats how poorly he thinks of American ability to provide cost effective health care.

Medicare needs a bullet to the head, not expanding.
