It's a shame. I'm trying to be historically accurate and even-handed.

People are just shouting slogans at each other.

Historically accurate? Making things up in order to fit a twisted agenda that doesn't include the truth is no where near accurate.

Blacks saw Lincoln and the Republicans as the ones who freed them from slavery. They didn't vote democrat until ~1930 when Hoover and FDRs handouts bought the poor vote. It's not a coincidence that at times blacks had a lower UE than whites through the 1920s. Granted they were not paid equally but it was a way of proving themselves. No one ever advances and gets to the middle class living on welfare.

FDRs executive order 9066 put over 100,000 Japanese Americans in jail along with thousands of Italians, Germans, and Jews based on their nation of origin.

The dems came up with Jim Crow. The republicans didn't control the Southern Congress until the early 1990s. The less racist the South became the more republican it became.

Sen Byrd recruited an entire chapter of klanmen and followed the FDR way of buying the poor vote(black) by using handouts. West Virginia was among the top states, and often the highest, on receiving more Federal money than they paid in. How has that worked out? Handouts buying voters yet again.

That is accurate.

I will give you that both Democrat parties have been centered on patronage politics, as opposed to the Federalist/Whig/Republican faction which has been the wealthier in group forever and is more ideologically based.

Any party don't have a truly uniform platform other than talking points from the otherside. Case in point, Republicans like to paint the Democrats as being the party of slavery and Jim Crow while the Republicans are the party of Lincoln. They also like to say the realignment of the South in the 1950's into the 70's wasn't real which is it but it isn't. However the Democrats with the New Deal and later Great Society looked to be a leg up (though it turned into hand outs). The welfare was undermined by Republicans saying that they are the party of Lincoln, not slavery.

See I saw a pretty good video talking about the realignment that happened in the 1950's-70's where we saw Republicans win states in the South. Both Ike and Nixon won southern states and Carter won many due to his repeatability compared to that of Ford. Besides that Clinton was the last to win but that was largely due to him being southern but partially due to the Bush policy and Perot.

The Republican Party is a party for racism, conspiracies, radicals, religious fanatics and a few moderates in there too. I dare someone trying to fight that.

Let's just clear the air here.

1) Racism in the south is vastly diminished from what it used to be.
2) Racism throughout the country is vastly diminished from what it used to be.
3) Racism is mostly used by both sides as a rhetorical club to hit the other side with. The rhetoric around racism dwarfs what racism is actually practiced in the here and and now.

I agree racism exists on both sides, but what I notice is the right deflect the Trump racism by saying the left is racist for calling out say "Uncle Toms" like Ben Carsons, Kanye Wests or Candice Owens while the left say that is more attacking them on merit and call the right is racist for defending Trump comments that have a racist twinge to them. I don't think either are right, but I do mock the "Uncle Toms" but not for selling out, more so for being nitwits see the Carson comments on prisons making men gay. However by saying that, the right might call me out for being racist for mocking him on it.

The other thing I find is like with the Straight Pride Parades people are looking to have in opposition of Pride Days. They are quick to say people are against straight rights but then these are the same people complaining about Rocketman having a gay kiss or that homosexuals shouldn't put their relationships out there, but a heterosexual relationship is fine doing the same actions. I'm not gay myself, I'm happily in a relationship with a woman, BUT I think that a homosexual couple have as much right as I do to do anything but I think PDA especially full-on kissing, even heterosexual is gross...

The Democrat party of today is the party of urban immigrants and the North.
A remarkable series of assertions. Without, inevitably, the slightest proof or evidence.

The Democrats of today (all of them) are the party that continues to legislate based on the idea that blacks and other minorities can't make it in the world, without massive government assistance; while they never see a need to make such allowances for whites. Not hard to figure out which race they regard as "inferior" and needing of help.

They also remain the overwhelming majority of members and high officials of the Ku Klux Klan, as they have been from its inception.

It's getting tiresome to hear the 743rd attempt by Democrats to point to the racism in the Democrat party, from yesteryear through today, and splutter, "But, but, but... uh.... those weren't REALLY Democrats!"

The immigrants and the South were held together by their hatred of tariffs, and later, their support for entitlements. Immigrants hated tariffs because they made the things they needed more expensive and the South hated tariffs because their economy depended on selling cash crops overseas. The Republicans were held together by their support for tariffs, which businesses felt protected them from competition.

While I don't deny their are many Alt-Right members who are racist, I think from my experience it is the Left who bring up racism more!

There is no more party of slavery.

Both parties contain racists of all races, but on balance because of the southern strategy the Republicans now have the most white racists.
modern civil rights came from LBJ and the democrats even acknowledged they "lost" the south for a generation over that issue
