McNamara said his office typically prosecutes unregistered guns where the homeowner is present as misdemeanors, and not felonies.

Then why the felony? Oh and I love how its this elderly man's FAULT 2 pieces of scum broke into his house! Unbelievable.

A female accomplice drove the pair to the house,he said. She has been fully cooperating with authorities and has not been charged at this time.
This is insane. They usually charge the getaway driver with the same crime as the other perpetrators. In this case, since two people died while she was committing her crime, she could be charged with murder. But they aren’t charging her with anything? Not even burglary?

Looks like a great case for the NRA to take up. Where are they?

What a POS liberal DA

To make matters more infuriating, it turns out that the now-room-temp pair had previously robbed Stolarczyk. But Oneida County District Attorney Scott McNamara is shifting the blame for the robberies to Stolarczyk, calling him a hoarder and implying that he was just asking to be robbed.

Blaming the victim? Equal to blaming a rape victim for a short dress.

A bit of role reversal with the gun thing, I guess? That is, a presumably liberal person blaming the victim.

FWIW, just because he was arrested doesn't mean he'll be charged of a crime.

Once he gets his day in court and proves his narrative of self-defense, more than likely the charges will get dropped. This is what often happens in these situations.

Some folks are jumping to conclusions and making a mountain out of a mole hill.

He was charged. He might not get convicted. If the NRA got involved I bet it would be dropped pretty fast.
