How does it even get to that point in a drive thru?

I'm not condoning what the employee said, but one wonders what happened prior to the point that the customer started filming.

A Taco Bell employee has been fired after she made Islamophobic statements to a customer whose video of her profane comments went viral on social media.

The man was ordering food from a Taco Bell at 12420 St. Charles Rock Road to eat before beginning daily fast during Ramadan, a holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal for Muslims.

According to the reporter in the video, the customer said the employee asked why he was buying $50 of Taco Bell food. He said it was because of Ramadan. Why would a clerk ask about that?
Serve them their food and move on.

TBH - are you really going to be that upset at being sacked from Taco Bell, indeed in terms of future employment the only way is up.

Nothing wrong with asking. And regardless of what was said by the customer, not an appropriate thing for the clerk to do esp. while at work.

I didn't view the clip because I don't respond well to orders to answer survey to view article.

But if it's yet another clip where we're all supposed to be outraged when we don't know what happened BEFORE recording began, it would've been useless, anyway.

Keep your anti-whatever rants outside of when on the job! Sounds simple right? As if for some people!
