Does anyone actually know the results of the study... Just because it lowers sperm count doesn't mean it will stop impregnation.... You only need one sperm.... Need to know it's efficacy versus condoms, etc... How many took it and their partner still got pregnant?

I think they intend to continue trials with sexually active married couples. This particular study only lasted 28 days and measured sperm count. The subject needs to take the pill 60-90 days before testing reliability.

Again, not sure why trials are taking so long, lack of funding, lack of interest.

It is men themselves that are preventing the progress of the male bc pill and other forms of male bc. More reliable male bc options would indeed reduce if not prevent any woman looking for getting knocked up as a meal plan. That and men being more discriminating in whom they choose to have sex with.

Because that is the job of the pharmaceutical company to develop and market the product-not the taxpayer.

Why aren't they participating in clinical trials.
Perhaps you should read the article. Men already are participating in the trial.

Agreed. As should women. Or is it "misogynistic" to point that out?

Let's say that this product is approved by the FDA. Does the Obamacare law require that insurance companies provide it free for men, as they do comparable products for women?

The pharmaceutical company isnt going to pursue drugs no one has interest in. It was women who pushed for and financed development and clinical trials of the female bc pill in the '50s. By they I mean men. It is in their best interest.

Perhaps you should read more. Several articles state lack of interest for men to participate in clinical trials.

Well its always pointed out that women should be more choosy about who the have sex with, marry have children with, etc. as if every divorce, relationship problem, case of single parenthood is because women choose badly. If that were the case at the very least 50% of the male population are losers and deadbeats. Deduct the homosexuals and that doesnt leave much to choose from.

I'm not aware Obamacare requires all insurance companies to provide free bc to women. If one has an insurer and plan that covers bc I would suspect it would cover bc. Are you suggesting that insurance carriers would discriminate based on gender? Or like how insurance paid for Viagra but not brith control pills.
