Right wingers seem to want some sort of government intervention, i.e. affirmative action, to help them compete in businesses where they lack the skills and expertise to successfully compete on their own.

Private companies like Twitter should be able to ban anyone for any reason. The only exception should be essential services.

Trump doesn't allow free speech at his rallies - even prior to the election and even prior to getting Secret Service protection. But he wants different rules for Twitter - rules that he doesn't even follow.

Any non-Trump supporter is excluded from a Trump rally. Even peaceful people that pass security screenings aren't allowed if it's deemed that they aren't a Trump supporter - such as someone with a hat or t-shirt that's about a Democrat related issue.

Trump doesn't care about free speech unless it's Pro-Trump. All else he wants silenced.

Why bother? The people who run those platforms have it in for him too. A good strategy is to use those incidents as dog whistles for the conservative movement to win more votes. That's all he has to do and more of the fence sitters will come running.

Trump Calls for Banned Conservatives to Be Reinstated by Twitter
https://www.theepochtimes.com/trump-...r_2956585.html

President Donald Trump called on Twitter to restore the accounts of conservatives who have been banned from the platform in recent weeks, continuing his longtime criticism of social media censorship.
I see...

You and tRump don't grasp that twitter is a private "members only" organization and not a government entity.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

FYI

Those people could make their own platform.

If I was Twitter I would cut the President off and dare him to use government over-reach to force my hand. Call his bluff, make him stomp around and yell, then after a week or two he will apologize behind closed doors and that will be the end. No one ever said Twitter was some official platform for the President.

Twitter is a private company, if they cut me off tomorrow, I go to one of 100 other apps. Besides apps like Twitter don't turn a profit anyway, this overinflated tech sector is going to fail at some point.
