Foreign advisors certainly have had a part in the strategy. It's straight out of the KGB playbook that the time to destabilize governments is during transitions in power. For the US, transitions in power mean our elections. McConnell is not dumb enough to want the Russians in power, but he obviously wants our elections to be vulnerable to hackers. He's raking in contributions from voting machine manufacturers while keeping them free of oversight or security restrictions.

The only conclusion is that McConnell wants to bring an end to democracy in America.

"Conspiracy? Really?

"Mitch McConnell is once again blocking any legislation"

And you NEVER complained when harry reid put over 240 bills passed by the House in his drawer and wouldn't even give them to the respective committees to discus them.

I wonder WHY?

The only conclusion is that reid wanted to bring an end to democracy in America and you didn't care then but when a repub does it, it is the end of our democracy!

This. He knows if he tightens things up the Trump campaign will find themselves in hot water. Not that conservatives seem to mind.

Well at least McConnell allowed the Green Deal to go to the floor for a vote, unfortunately he couldn’t see his way to let the bill on foreign intervention go to the floor. He is the leading do nothing senator even blocking GOP bills. He also allowed the bill to kill to kill the ACA to go to the door for a vote, busy agenda the last 2 years. LOL

Foreign interference is a basic part of the global economy, which Trump is starting to withdraw from. More severe inteference will be a cost of living for many areas of the US when it is broken bits of former empire.

Mitch McConnell is a swamp creature ripe with corruption, along with his wife Elaine Chao the current transportation secretary. She was supposed to divest from a stock she owned in Vulcan. How convenient to have a wife in the cabinet to over see the grant money that goes to Kentucky for those "special projects." Not only is she instrumental in funding projects here but she's working for her Chinese family shipping business by trying to use her position to arrange meetings with Chinese officials and her family. It seems daddy dearest has contributed more than a million dollars to Mitch's campaign. Chao had signed an agreement to divest from Vulcan, a highway supply company as per ethics recommendation before she was confirmed. She did not divest until recently when the enemy of the people free press and watch dog group outed her.

Yeah the two of them are a great couple and Kentucky is a very red state. Of course McConnell will be reelected. People don't care about corruption as long as they're on the receiving end of it. McConnell was instrumental in getting 4 month old sanctions removed from a Russian Oligarch Deripaska, sound familiar? He's a close associate of Manafort. His company Rusal is the world's largest aluminum producer outside of China. One side effect of the sanctioned Rusal did benefit China. Their exports of aluminum sky rocketed.

Meanwhile, Congress voted to keep the sanctions in place and so did a lot of the Senators on both sides. McConnell was able to stop the process, and make a deal with Deripaska to invest millions in an aluminum plant in Kentucky. Money makes the world go around, especially in the swamp.

Jon Stewart reminded us of that earlier in the week.

Plenty of Trump supporters would be happy to see McConnell replaced. He's a swamp dweller like Pelosi and Schumer.
