Senate democrats rush to judgement and legislation goes down in flames, bill quickly identified as a political stunt !!!

Democrats up to their usual political stunts and dirty tricks get defeated by a strong woman who stood up and ended their nonsense !!! Diversity wasn't their strength, this time it worked against the democrats !!!
If only the democrat would rush to fix actual problems we have now with such urgency they might not look so deranged !!!

Trump thanks Marsha Blackburn for blocking 'blatant political stunt' bill

"My colleagues on the left tried to rush this legislation through the Senate without giving it a chance for the careful consideration and debate needed to address such an important issue,” Blackburn said

So if she had issues then she could simply work with Warner with proposed changes, they were just looking for a reason to kill the bill because of Trump.
Quote:
Blackburn objected to the legislation, however, arguing that it would pose an “overbroad” burden on campaigns. The senator claimed that it would apply to campaign workers on “so many different levels” ― from vendors to door knockers to phone bankers. And she said she worried about how the bill would affect Dreamers ― undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children ― who sign up to volunteer for political campaigns.
Blackburn added that, of course, “no one wants foreign interference of any type” in U.S. elections.
Warner responded by calling his colleague’s reading of the bill “not accurate.”
“The only thing that would have to be reported is if the agent of a foreign government or national offered something that was already prohibited,” he said.

The democrats don't and can't govern. Their participation is merely a sideshow of their posturing, virtue signaling, and empty morality. It is a parade of blustering clowns enraged at their continual defeat by a scrappy and clever president.

Because of an asinine statement made by an ignorant leader of a mediocre administration, this legislation had to pass. Unfortunately, the mediocrity has spread to Senate conservatives and it killed a simple bill, straightforward, riderless and unbiased.
