Considering the school did not stop the bullying and had a poor response in how they were going to proceed... yes, I think the mother was completely right in doing what she did... what ELSE could she have done? I suspect, because of her actions, the school is ACTUALLY going to try significantly more to end the bullying...
Bad move on her part. Just because the school isn't doing what it should doesn't change the rules for parents to be able to sneak in and take matters into their own hands. School should be doing more, but sneaking in for confrontations is not cool in the age of school shootings.
I can empathize with her being frustrated over what she thought was the lack of concern by the school, but she sure didn't make herself look good yelling at a bunch of kids who may or may not have had a thing to do with any of it. She should have been yelling in the principal's office - with other grown adults.
When I saw the title of the thread, I suspected there was more to the story than the OP alluded to. I was right of course. She trespassed on school property. I appreciate the fact that she is apologizing now, but she basically bullied her son's bullies. Where is the lesson in that?

But there are a lot of questions the news story doesn't answer. The main one being, if the school really does have an anti-bullying program, why/how did this kid apparently fall through the cracks?
Becoming a bully to stop bullying? An adult yelling at 9 year olds that make funny faces and comment on her son's hair is not appropriate any way you look at it.
