Like church bells that go off every hour? And then sometimes around 6:00pm they go off continually, don't know what that's all about. Anyway, what's your issue?
I'm positive the progressives in new York city, the overwhelming majority of the city's voters, are happy to have loud speakers blasting calls into their homes and businesses for muslims to prayer 5x a day from dawn to after sunset. if they weren't they wouldn't have elected de Blasio twice.
their city. their choice.

Nah, it wouldn't. I suggest you visit a place, such as Chicago, that has the "L" running thru the neighborhood. Just try it for a weekend & let us know how utterly peaceful you find it.

I agree with this. I am not a Christian but I have to listen to numerous church bells go off every freaking hour. They wake me up in the morning and yet our mayor has not "shut them down" and keeps allowing it to occur

I agree with this too. My in laws live in Chicago near the Metra train and man...I have to wear ear plugs when we visit every month or I cannot sleep. Train has series of "ding-ding-dings" and loud rumbling multiple times a night.
The xenophobia of the people here is rather silly. Cities have all sorts of annoying noises.
