Got to wonder who the traitor is in this scenario.

Any potential cyber attacks and/or cyber vulnerabilities are so technical that even if the President was briefed for several hours, he couldn't give any kind of a comprehensive leak about what we are proactively doing or what we are doing to protect our assets via our critical infrastructure protection (CIP) programs rolled out nation wide. Anyone who has done any serious CIP work knows just how complex the protections are for our nation's major critical infrastructure including utility, energy, transportation and other national critical infrastructure assets.

All nations CIP asset managers and engineers are already fairly knowledgeable that some of the other nations are constantly seeking to exploit any vulnerabilities available. There is absolutely no way President Trump has the knowledge, training or expertise to give away any genuinely harmful CIP information or details. Even the best briefed Senators or Representatives on the subject could not reveal anything which would place us at greater risk. To even suggest such a thing is preposterous. That means this story was an intentional "nothingburger" from the start and/or the people spreading these nonsensical rumors are either completely clueless about the subject OR are willfully spreading lies in an attempt to discredit President Trump.

The above is not my opinion, it is a fact.

Even Donald Trump reads these papers. He may not like what they report, but even a hapless idiot like Trump recognizes that they hold more sway with those in power than tabloids.

I have been reading both papers since Nixon. They are more often right, than wrong. For decades they have been citing 'sources', usually correctly.

Hence, if those papers report that sensitive information is being kept from Trump, due to his propensity to tell foreign leaders secrets, I believe them.
So you're fully indoctrinated by propaganda. Great!

Well, it's mostly facts...but the "opinion" is that the story is a nothing burger.

The basics of the story are that we can do this as well or better than other countries and have to.....if we are going to stop countries like Russia from fooling around with our systems.

The second part of the story is that the POTUS is not trustable enough to be controlling these efforts. He would likely shut them down if he could.

Now, those are not facts.....any more than that "fact" of the yield of our nuclear weapons. We don't get to know everything.

Oh, and BTW, the hacking of such systems is not a hard thing to do in many cases. These systems were not built as super-hardened systems as their origins (legacy) pre-date the internet. I know a "kid" who, by his lonesome in his spare time, hacked and exposed major Chinese snooping in a consumer product....the kid lives in a little ranch house and the company is worth 10 billion.

You or I and many others could understand most ever nuance of the systems that the DOD or NSA has in place if we were briefed on it. Not to say we could write the code, but we could understand it as well as any leader might understand all the weapons and processes presented.

Trump is simply not to be trusted with the control of such...because, as I suggested above, it's likely he would be against fighting back against Russia helping him in an election and with buying Real Estate, etc.

Fingers crossed that they aren't passing any info on to Kushner either.
Oh, unnamed officials. Fake news.

Do all of you forget that Trump is our duly elected president? It’s not up to you or any government officials, who aren’t elected, to make that decision.

You can criticize what Trump does, but to withhold information from the duly elected president is treason.

Trump does have a record of saying things that he 'didn't mean to say'. Whether it is because he doesn't word things properly or just says things he shouldn't and then has to back track.

Folks on this board are constantly spinning Trump's words more favorably. We have to be concerned about what he says when there aren't folks like that to 'fix'. If Fox News hosts can't be privy to all of his dialogue to fix his mistakes......we could see Trump say something he doesn't really mean to say.

Of course trump would alert his handlers to any potential actions against them.

Really? Seriously? The same thing can be said for virtually everything from transgenderism to a war.

How about this:

“Mr. President, we have attacked Russia’ electrical grids.”
