There is a whole lane standing wide open in this primary - the moderate lane - if any candidate has the moxy to try to stand in and fill it. A lot of Democrats will want to vote for a candidate like that too. But the media will not like it and will try to destroy them, so they do need to be ready for that.
Castro could fill that lane, and I think he generally came off pretty well. Unfortunately I'm afraid he got derailed by the early emphasis on immigration and all the Spanish.
I can highly recommend his memoir An Unlikely Journey for anyone who wishes to know more about him.
I thought Delaney made the most sense. The rest are just rallying the base with identity politics, social justice warrior happy talk, open borders and endless free stuff. I also like Gabbart. At least Booker is forceful in his oratory.
Bingo. The USA is a constitutional republic, not a democracy.

The biggest take-away? They only talk about "this democracy." Not once did I hear "constitutional republic." There is a very big difference and the fact that they either don't recognize that, or unwilling to, should scare everyone.
I agree. I think Castro has a good presense. But why all the Spanish? If there was a Vietnamese candidate should he break out in speaking Vietnamese? Gabbart is Indian, should she break out in Hindi language? I don't get the speaking Spanish to kiss butt.

It is scary, and it seemed they are running on 2016 topics and don't realize a lot has been fixed. Oops! lol
