I'm glad that happened. Being a bigot is something I have a very difficult time forgiving. I know forgiveness is important. However, being is bigoted racist is one of the worst things a person can be, in my book. And there's nothing you can do to change my mind. I don't want to "take the moral high road". I want bigoted types out of my life.

agreed. As I said in my other reply. I actually disagree with what Harvard did, but I dont for a second believe his guy has changed.
Just like Jack Phillips, and I fully support private enterprise reserving the right not to serve whom they choose to, when serving violates their beliefs.
I concur, but organizations who refuse service have to recognize there may very well be repercussions, like boycotts, which could ultimately destroy their ability to turn a profit.
Harvard doesn't have to worry about such matters, as long as they remain a top notch highly sought after university. In 2019, they received over 43,000 applications, but only offered admissions to 1,930 prospective students. His loss was a waitlisted student's gain.
He deserves no sympathy. Since he's linked to Turning Point USA, I'm sure they will give him a job and he will feel right at home, around so many like minded people.
Good advice. But even better would be "don't be a bigot!"
I wonder why it is so hard for some people to believe that there ARE some people in the world who actually have not said or written racist things and have not lived any part of their lives as racists.
Of course there are. However, it just amazes me how many kids I hear use that word. Twenty years ago it was a pretty big no no. Now when I'm around high schools and their hangouts, I hear it. It's kids of all colors too. I think it's the music.
Liberals are soo full of **** if they think they're never bigots. Maybe one percent aren't actually bigoted, but the rest definitely are. Even more than the conservatives they always blame for racism.
Living in the south, I never really became racist until I experienced it from people. Sad thing is, most of it was from blacks. Like one percent are actually decent, everywhere else I lived, they were normal people but down here they're the angriest arrogant ****s you'll ever encounter. I was shocked, because I was taught about what went on in the south, so to see it coming from people you least expected was a big culture shock because like I said, everywhere else they were normal people.
yet they accept hundreds of millions in federal funding.
The major difference between public universities and private colleges lies in how they are funded. Harvard's stats are as follows:
> Total federal funds: $550.5 million
> Annual R&D expenditure: $1.0 billion
Though Harvard receives federal funds, Harvard's endowment is 34.5 billion!
The federal funds that Harvard receives are mostly tied to research and development science and engineering projects w/ the federal government.
Anyhow, their 34+ billion endowment means Harvard is free to do whatever they want. I'm sure the 550 mil is much appreciated, but it's small fries, in the larger scheme of their overall budget...

Spewing racial epithets online goes being making a little mistake. Only a racist would spew such hatred and bigotry. It's not even in my nature to disparage others merely due to their racial background and/or ethnic identity.
