Notice how he says "no unions"?

Conservatives want the CHOICE to be in a union. Mike knows when given the CHOICE of being in a union, most people CHOOSE not to join.

Liberals want to FORCE union membership.

Take away the tax schemes used to buy votes, and it's not necessary.
Its true that democracy is truly hated by honest conservatives, for a good reason. But supporting means testing is a great way to create popular support for tax revolts. Remember, the so-called liberals you talk about have the same big money donors as the conservatives. The liberals work in co-operation with the conservatives on this.

Sure.

New York state carbon dioxide emissions are already down more than 20 percent since 2005. They realize that rhe changeover to non-coal and non-oil sources of electricity have to take place decades before the supply shock in order to cushion the economy. They all learned from the experience of the 1970's. While alternative sources of oil were discovered in the late 60's and 70's, it took nearly twenty years for Gulf of Mexico, North Atlantic, and Alaska oilfields to ramp up production.

No, labor unions are the only real counterweight to total corporate domination. The moneyed elite HATE unions for a good reason. Thats why they've gone to war against the labor union movement where ever they can. We can see how dysfunctional the current system is for the 99%. Polls after polls show that Congress simply do not care about popular opinion, because they dont have to. What matters is money and money=power. Both democracy and labor unions are the polar opposite of what the ruling class support.

The 3rd world has low tax to GDP ratio, very weak unions, hired thugs beating up labor activists, no enforcement of environmental and consumer protection regulations, sky high inequality and massive social problems and despair. In other words, people are extremely free there, and not burden by taxes and regulations and deadbeats perish.

Should employees have the right to CHOOSE whether or not they join a union (pay dues) if there is a union where they work or should those dues be mandatory even if you don't CHOOSE to join?

If you benefit from labor union organization, you should pay up, but that's besides the point.

Its ridiculous to portray that the ruling class likes labor unions and democracy. Its the biggest domestic threat to their power and status. It makes zero sense for them to support it.

From TigerLily24's post #29,

"More than a dozen unions came together to develop what they call Climate Jobs New York, a plan that they say will create more than 10,000 jobs; jobs that they agree should be middle-class, union jobs.“

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...lan-union-work

“New York City’s climate actions will create thousands of good-paying jobs in trades such as manufacturing, construction, landscaping, installation, and maintenance, to name a few. To ensure New Yorkers are prepared to capture these opportunities and that the jobs created are accessible, we will leverage the City’s youth and adult educational system — including Career and Technical Education Offerings — and workforce system — including industry-specific training, internship, and apprenticeship programs, such as the City’s Green Jobs Corps — to build a skilled local workforce. ”

I'd agree, the simple solution is they negotiate their own wages.
