So thousands die because they cant afford their medicine and surgery that they need. Thats what low taxes get you.

And when the companies start to complain about the high cost of labor in Alabama, they go to Mexico. Are you willing to follow them there as well? I fail to see how you can be supportive of a race to the bottom domestically. For the average worker, its a disaster. 40 years of wage stagnation for the typical male worker should teach us that.
How do you figure that? Are you saying that there are no companies selling health insurance in Alabama? That people can't go buy a plan if they so choose? And even if they don't have insurance, that they can't walk into a doctor's office, hand them these little green sheets of paper in their pocket and get seen? I thought Obamacare was supposed to make it possible for individuals to buy "affordable" insurance...without their employer providing it...perhaps it IS a failure.

Concerning companies moving out of this nation and only bringing in completed product to avoid costs and taxes....I suggest you look at the news. We have a president now that is actually working to level the playing field with some of those countries that offer no protection to workers or the environment. Tariffs make US manufacturing more competitive with "offshore" costs.

It is the tax revenue kicked upstairs to Albany from high income individuals, businesses and the activity they generate from downstate that keeps upstate's butter stuck to their bread.

People are moving to NYC and other downstate areas, meanwhile they are fleeing upstate like rats from a sinking ship.

Sad proof of this was the last election where downstate liberal/democrats and or their policies carried not just the assembly but the senate. Even Faso has his clock punched. Fact upstate continues to vote Cuomo (the only white person in any power in Albany), should tell you something else.

NYS far as upstate is concerned is done. There aren't many jobs, population is declining as is economic activity. Meanwhile if NYC/downstate sneezes the entire state catches a cold.

I lived in Upstate NY until my mid 30's.

I know exactly what I'm talking about.

People don't move to NYC from Upstate.

They move to different states with lower taxes and more opportunities.

The only way NYC sustains it's population is a steady influx of immigrants that they then force the ever dwindling taxpayers to support.

Polls after polls show that Congress simply do not care about popular opinion, because they dont have to. What matters is money and money=power. Both democracy and labor unions are the polar opposite of what the ruling class support.
It isn't the "monied elite" that "hate" unions-it is the taxpayers. The most powerful and influential unions are the various government employees unions. The ones that have secured contracts offering excessive compensation and benefits by buying the support of politicians through campaign (and other) donations. Contracts that have bled and continue to bleed the taxpayers dry-and drive them out of state. These very contracts are bringing financial ruin to a number of states-Illinois stands out as the biggest disaster. Until you break the stranglehold government employees have on bribing elected officials, this won't change.

It is unions and the progressive elites that oppose democracy and embrace totalitarianism. Socialism can not exist outside of a totalitarian environment. Someone needs to enforce the draconian, regressive demands of socialism, to seize property that isn't theirs, to seize wealth that they didn't create. Unions are simply one example. Look at the opposition to "right to work" laws, where people that choose not to join an extortionist little club are still forced to pay membership dues.

Health insurance that dont provide the health care you need is useless insurance. If you earn more than $200 a month, you dont get health care. Its useless to "get seen" by a doctor if you are denied surgery and medicine because you cant afford it.

The president isnt interested in protecting the worker with his tariffs. The president is literally rejoicing that manufacturing is moving to countries with far lower wages and working conditions than in China, like Vietnam and Bangladesh. And he's busy creating a race to the bottom for the average Joe in America as well with his policies.

A question to you. Why would the billionaire class, people with immense power and influence, support democracy when it is a huge threat to their power?

I was in Greene County last week. The upstate regions are doing quite well. In fact there is a lack of people to fill all the jobs.

NYS is a place to go if you can handle the winters.

Technically we are a republic, not a democracy-which is what I suspect they support. A republic guarantees the rights of the individual-not simple mob rule. A question for you-why would ANYONE support totalitarian socialism, which has proven a disaster in any country where it has been implemented. It destroys production, innovation, any incentive to work or excel.

Our winters arent even that bad anymore, thanks to the vast liberal conspiracy known as global warming.
