Millennials grew up with movies from Hollywood depicting college as this fun place where you have parties constantly. So naturally everyone wanted to go, especially with boomers saying they should.
They handed out credit cards like candy to college kids in the early 2000's, saddled them down with debt, and now they're today's liberals.
Interesting perspective.
Though you have hit upon something, I think the liberalism/socialism/communist indoctrination of the left goes a tad bit deeper than that.
Just look at all the leftist ideology embodied in certain degree studies/classes.
That combined with Pavlov's dog PC conditioning, and many boys that should grow into men, come out feckless eunuchs.
They have been conditioned to seek out female validation, to the point that gender roles have been reversed.
For example, most of the time historically women followed men to their colleges, and of course most of those relationships would falter. The guy would move on to a new relationship in the college best suited for his needs and future.
Conversely now you see a gender role reversal where the men are following the girls, and subverting their best interests for that of the girlfriends.
This did not happen overnight, nor naturally if you look at history.
While this link does not go into depth regarding what I just posted, it does illuminate how some men need to break from the indoctrination of female validation;

Think Tower of Babel.
I've lived a good while now. And every time I think I know something, turns out I don't. Yet, I don't think that it is something that I don't know, or haven't learned, but people change it to suit the idea of the day.
This pastor [video to follow] titled his sermon, New World Order. Since Charlie Rose has been decommissioned, I haven't heard much from those that beat New World Order drums. So when I saw this man on youtube, I gave him a listen ... listened now too, so as to get this part.
(The ancient attempt of a new world order --- Tower of Babble. To celebrate their unity and their power. Rebellion against God ...) ~ i shake my head ~
The things people will say to justify, well it is like my brother always said, 'you can justify anything'.
The Tower of Babel came about the new languages (so I was told in the 70's sunday school and church preaching) was because of the arrogance of the people who thought, not only could they reach the Heavens from earth, but they also thought they could become God. (we are just that arrogant today)
There is no segregation in the Kingdom of Heaven. The same God made all man, every one of us in His likeness.
And here's the deal with evolution and our changing environments, people are going to have to 'learn' to live together and share resources, because without that humanity will not survive. Notice I said, humanity and not human beings ... Those who cry out the nationalism --- they don't want to share and the rest of the world be damned. I don't think they care if humanity survives or not, as long as they get theirs.
When Christ was here He preached to 'all' men. He didn't just preach to the white man and leave the brown man out. He didn't just preach to the brown man and leave the yellow man out. People from all around the countries or tribes came to hear him speak ... It made the government of the day nervous and they hung him for it. Why? What did he do that was bad, really ...
When the government looses their power to influence their workers to work strictly for them, they loose everything and the one thing the government wants to do is survive and they will use Religion to do it.
Make no mistake, God is not mocked.
This is where people have to make a choice. Serve God, or serve man's government ... and those who don't believe, just follow your conscience it will all work out in the end.

The U.S. has long been tribal since its inception. It descended into barbarism in the beginning with slavery, continued with Jim Crow and only recently emerged in the 60s. What the author of this article and others are afraid of is competition. Either you let multiculturalism motivate you or fall behind. Your choice.
Nothing good can come of admitting immigrants who hate their host country. Nations would do well to screen out people who express contempt for their history.

Except that the vast majority of immigrants do not hate this country. Too many generational Americans are simply in denial about their own history and can’t handle recent Americans being truthful about it.

I'm sure that's true. Nevertheless, immigrants with sentiments such as you have expressed should be screened for and kept out.
Wasn't Rome multicultural for centuries? Part of Rome's fall was due to the Romans treating Gothic refugees from Hun attacks like dog poop. Cheating them, exploiting them, and such, then they rose up and rebelled. The moral of the story: If don't treat people like poop, they're less likely to get violent.

Nice try but I do not hate this country. You hate people like me who tell the truth about American history. Btw, I am not an immigrant so there is no screening or keeping me out. I have stated repeatedly that I am of the first generation born in the U.S. Do you know what an immigrant is? SMH.
an excellent article. and sure to be controversial
There is no real multicultural society on the planet that has not tumbled into barbarism or devolution. Whether Lebanon, which institutionalized multiculturalism in its constitution and exploded into ethnic warfare, or Rwanda, where tribalism descended into barbarism, multiculturalism does not work.
In the end, if we devolve into a multicultural society, we will have the same political instability as other multicultural societies. The mobilization of people by identity will create a society that is inherently not viable. It is what the left’s myopic obsession with phony multiculturalism and identity politics will bring
The "nation killer" isn't multiculturalism. Its bigotry, stagnant traditionalism and power hungry religious establishments (all things right-wingers love) that destroy nations, however homogenous or diverse.
If a nation embraces the classically liberal values of secular rationalism and tolerance, it can thrive whether diverse or not. If it is ridden with the classically conservative values noted above it will rot and be more vulnerable to failing, whether diverse or not.
