I think the solution here is to require the drag queens to read Laura Engalls Wilder books.

They are pretending to be women. These are stereotypical impressions of women for entertainment. Like black face.

What is the basis for drag queen entertainment? Women.

Yes, and it is not meant to be taken seriously.

If drag queens are ok then the Little House books should be ok.

Blackface wasn't meant to be taken seriously either.

Throw a blackface show, and see what happens.

Why are drag queens given a free pass to make fun of women?

I loved the Little House book series when I was a kid. It was an enriching part of my childhood.

Did you like the movie Tootsie?

How about these, where women play men?

The intent of the drag queen act is to stereotype and make fun of women. For laughs. And the more stereotypical the better. Again, just like blackface was intended to stereotype and make fun of African Americans.

You are off topic with your examples as they do not apply.

I see. Contemporary entertainment where actors portray the opposite gender are off topic, but blackface is relevant.

You really think that they are both the same?

Drag queens are celebratory in their homage to women.
Blackface was meant to mock and ridicule black culture.
