International air space. Nothing illegal about flying a drone in international airspace. There is everything illegal about shooting it down.

Advancements aren't good if they lower the quality of life.
We shouldn't rush to a future, we should choose what future we want to live in.
according to Wikipedia the cost per unit could be as high as $222 million, I think factoring in "depreciation" we should make a demand that Iran remit $180 million to pay for the damage!

Incase one is wondering, the Global Hawk RQ4 drone is a fullsize aircraft not some toy which is why it costs that much!
It cost that much because it's a huge welfare program for the war industry.

I have one with a 4K camera but I don't fly it near people's houses.

Look at the Great Seal of the United States, it's the bald eagle with the arrows BUT ALSO the olive branch... the ability to wage catastrophic war against it's enemies BUT and most importantly the desire for peace. The horrible regimes in these other countries are the ones that threaten us, our allies and the stability of the entire world, let's get it straight.

It costs that much because that was determined to be the maximum amount the government could swindle out of taxpayers. What it actually costs to make I am sure is much less.
