This is a classic example of how illegals get preferential treatment over citizens and exactly why Trump was elected.
ICE needs to have investigators at every DMV to figure out who the illegals are applying for licenses and haul them the hell off. Really, though, it is infuriating that those who are not supposed to be in our country per the law are being rewarded with legal documentation

You do understand the federal system right? The federal government is responsible for borders, citizenship, etc. This is a Federal issue, whereby these people should be detained and deported by the Federal government agencies responsible.

The states themselves agreed to such a framework when they created the federal government/ratified the Constitution.
Federal law mandates that illegals (with a few exceptions that are now being challenged in court to include DACA) be deported. States passing laws providing for legal documentation only emboldens and makes it more likely that illegals stay in the country. This is wholly inconsistent with federal law and does nothing more than undermine federal law in the area.
