Did you actually read the OP, or just want to mindlessly bash Fox?
And implying that simply being George Washington is the offensive matter. Not by how Natives or AA are depicted. But by calling out Washington specifically.

Dishonesty from the Left abounds. Again from the quote in the OP which you conveniently ignored.

due to complaints that it’s offensive and demeaning to Native Americans and African Americans.
Where does it say that Washington was the reason for offense? Although, yes, he did own slaves so the Left wants to ban him and Jefferson also!

Is it so ingrained that you don't even see it? By headlining the article "Mural of George Washington that 'traumatizes students' to be Covered Up." It's intentionally inflammatory for the many who don't bother to read the article and only the headline.
Traumatizes the Marxist teachers. The kids could careless.
That's what I think. The teachers and/or the administration are behind this, but they have convinced the students that this is a just cause in which they should be concerned about.
No Vietnam War to protest, so let's make up something else to make us feel important!
How can a nation survive when so many of its citizens loathe it?
There's a big statue of George Washington in Trafalgar Square in London and no one is offended, despite the fact he batted for the other team during the Revolutionary War, and helped defeat Britain.
Gee, another disingenuous headline meant to gain the reaction you desire . You have a future at Fox News. The issue isn't with George Washington in particular, it's with him standing over a dead Native American.
I'm not weighing in on the issue one way or another but at least be honest with the issue.

It's called history. Should we lie to these kids instead?
I just don't understand why the left is so constantly easily offended, indeed they are like screaming babies.
They want to erase history, and don't want to be reminded that slavery once existed and that American Indians were a technically inferior culture replaced by a superior one. They have also been convinced that their "FEELINGS" should matter above all else.

Now, I can agree with your point here and think it is a strong argument.
Let us take one of the panels that is at issue. The panel that shows Washington directing his army/explorers forward over the body of the dead Indian.
What is the muralist indicating here?
Is he indicating that indeed this nation was built on stolen lands from the natives? That Washington was leader of a war of genocide against the natives? That these natives stood in the way of our manifest destiny and needed to be dealt with rather harshly?
What do you think the muralist was indicating in that panel? What is the history that should be learned from this panel?
