I wish Trump’s fans would stop disparaging his alleged victims and just admit, “Yeah, I don’t know what happened, and I really don’t care. Whatever Trump does—or did—will never be enough for me to turn away from him.”
I wish they’d be upfront about their feelings and adoration for Trump. Stop jumping through hoops trying to make these women look bad. It’s silly, nonsensical, and it damages all victims of sexual assault and rape.
Actually, lying about being a victim of sexual assault and rape in order to bring down a candidate that you abhor damages the REAL victims.
These women ARE bad. Presumably, this woman is a strong, confident, professional woman. Why did she wait 30 years to make this claim? If this attack was so traumatizing that she never had sex again, how come she can't remember exactly when it took place, and can only remember it was in a general 6-month time frame?
I wish Trump haters would just admit that they'll believe any allegation, no matter how outrageous or ancient, because they so desperately WANT it to be true.
It appears you hadn't heard how, though one friend wanted to go with her to report it, another stopped her cold and said something such as, "You'll have to just forget about it.. he has a bunch of lawyers, etc.," so she felt she had let it go, however never forgetting, as occurs.
Similarly with the Cosby cases and countless others, women do not or could not always come forward for different reasons, especially having been during earlier decades and especially if involving some prominent individual, having made it easier for ones such as those to get away with it.
Some others just do not accept these occurrences, making their own conclusions of and nasty remarks about accusers, not having any understanding, empathy or reality of. In this case, the guy has been indicated too often as a sexual predator...so, "Smear Campaign" nothin', the guy has been smearing himself, for years.
If this were true, why didn't she come forward the first time Trump ran? And is only now coming forward after she's written a book?
E Jean is a much better witness than Juanita Broadderick. Conservatives believe accusation of Juanita, despite her recanting of the facts, and they believe NOTHING of E. Jean.
Carroll is 3 years older than Trump. And why does it matter? Look up the numerous women--24, so far--who have accused him of sexual misconduct, back to the 1970s.
In an ideal world, void of do as I say, not as I do, the rule of law would apply to everyone, no ifs, ands or buts.
Until all the specifics are truly examined to determine what's factual as oppose to fiction, we should be wary of blaming the victim, because even the boy who cried wolf was telling the truth once.
First and foremost, I am no Trump fan. With that in mind, I listened to Jean Carroll's interview this morning. Her story sounds pocked full of holes. She began by describing a rape incident she experienced - at age 52. She detailed how she ended up in a department store changeroom, women's lingerie in hand, each trying to convince the other to try on the garments, when suddenly, "the unimaginable happened." Really lady?
When asked why she never reported her alleged Trump rape to authorities she claimed being the product of a generation which kept its nose down and kept moving forward. Come on man! There was more but I'll leave it there.
