Some New Jersey parents have expressed upset after a handful of eighth grade students were pictured wearing “Make America Great Again” hats on a school field trip.

Students from Avon Elementary School in Monmouth County were on an end-of-the-year trip to Washington, D.C., during which several students purchased the red hats as souvenirs. Avon School District Superintendent Christopher Albrizio tells Yahoo Lifestyle that there were no disruptions on the trip as a result of the hats. However, once parents saw photos of the students on an internal site, some expressed concern.

MAGA hats are disruptive and a threat, yet when little Johnny shows up in a skirt and wants to be called Susie, that's ok?

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Wow, a hat that supports our current President and his upcoming campaign for re-election. Oh the horror of those hats.

I never used to be a big fan of home schooling in many years past, but now I am 100% for home schooling with how nutty everything has gotten.

Correct. And even better if little Johnny wants to play on the women's track or softball teams at school.

If you're triggered by Johnny in a skirt who is asking to be called Susie, you'll be accused of all sorts of things.

Not so if you're triggered by a MAGA hat.

As many of you are quick to point out -- folks with MAGA hats can be targets of violence.

Would you want your kids sporting one?

Would you have felt the same way if the kids found hats that said Impeach Trump?
