I rather like this sort of decline. lol
That's a rather Marie Antoinette attitude.

Yes, but the old USSR is not Europe, not even close.

Allied forces saved Europe. Americans didn't do it single handily, not even close. There are endless debates about whether Europe could have been won without Americans. IMO those debates are silly and pointless.
WE, not you, not me, but WE won Europe as allies. To say otherwise is to disrespect the sufferings of all our soldiers and civilians during that time.

The country that sacrificed the most and help win Europe was the USSR.

Japan, was defeated by you. Those bombs were big.

Canada does have one big positive - they're not a lightning rod for every terrorist and political agitator on the planet. Nobody's mad at Canada.

The UK and other EU countries for example don't have the same right of freedom of speech that the US offers !!!
Your constitution was ground-breaking for the time. It was a framework for some countries looking to move toward a democracy.

That was then.

Today places like Canada have modern constitutions, and a Charter of Rights and Freedoms that fits Canada.

We don't see yours as superior, nor do we see ours as superior, but just OURS.

Well China isn't too happy with us at the moment, and have been holding two Canadians.

We also have had homegrown terrorist attacks.

Why Progressives (Democrats) think it is trendy, chic, and productive to look for ways to talk down even the CONCEPT of your own country, and its founding is beyond me. Part of the reason we ARE exceptional is that you have the RIGHT TO DO IT. We were the first country to CODIFY THAT RIGHT. That in itself is exceptional.

The French created the air balloon and where the first to fly.

The Tv well

If one regards the definition of “television” to be the live transmission of images with continuing variation in tone, the credit to who invented the television belongs to Scottish engineer John Logie Baird. He built and and demonstrated the world’s first mechanical television. Baird also invented and demonstrated the first color television in public as well as the first electronic color television picture tube.

Air-conditioning? True but the Egyptians are the one who had the know how to cool down the temples.

The moon. The Russians. Unmanned but the first.

The computer? Charles Babbage he was British.

Who invented the nuclear bomb? Germany.

Most inventions were joint ventures by our country and others.
